Napa Valley Casino Review

The Napa Valley Casino is a tiny little poker room with tons of fun and fascinating characters. Do you ever just wanna get away from the hoity toitiness of the Valley. Why not just get down and dirty and play some Texas Hold'em! They have tournaments daily I believe starting at 6. They always have 2-4 limit going on and there is always a full no-limit game going on. They also recently started doing black jack again on the weekends. So, if you need a quick fix for some gambling and your in the Valley go to the casino, its really really fun!

Pete's 881 Club Review

I spent a good chunk of my New Year's Eve at Pete's 881, my first time actually entering the hometown institution. Pete's has been around for over half a century, and due to this it is one of the few places around that still has legalized gambling! As a person who enjoys playing some poker with friends, I was very excited to see a real live card room in the middle of Marin County. Combine that with food, dart boards, a pool table, full bar, and sports on the several flat screen TVs and you have a winner. I definitley will be back. Pete's is well hidden and certainly appears to be a real dive, tucked at the very end of Lincoln in San Rafael (no longer 881 4th Street)... And be advised, If you are a twenty-something, you will certainly be in the minority at Pete's 881.

Games People Play Review

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be an archeologist and a professional board game player when I grew up.  My father was always supportive of my dreams, so he equipped me with hand shovels and gloves, and spent countless hours playing board games with me. From Chutes and Ladders, to Candyland, and Sorry!, we played some competitive games, and formed some fantastic memories.

Walking into Games People Play sent me back to a happy time when encountering Lord Licorice was my biggest problem. Living alone, I decided to get some single player games, so I bought Set and Tangoes, as well as some hologram cat playing cards for my crazy cat lady friend. The guy working there was super helpful with suggesting mind-bending single people games, and I love Set, though Tangoes was so frustrating for me that I wanted to stab my carotid artery with an oyster shucker.
